Never mix styles
Always choose one style per outfit. If you go with a simple outfit, 1-2 accessories over it will make you look fabulous.
Unless you like role playing, always choose outfits that suit your personality
For example, if you’re sporty, trendy casual clothes will fit best. If you’re a rock girl, don’t forget to keep your outfits feminine enough. On a romantic girl, soft colors, classic cuts, classic jewelry and embroidery goes best. For an urban look you should take advantage of the simple street fashion.
Your body shape should be top of the list of the elements that dictate the way you dress
For example, if your body is pear-shaped, v-necks, vertical lines, straight A just below the knee skirts, or skirts with slits up the side should fit excellently, while a few classic cuts when it comes to the top should pull the eye away from the hips.
If you’re tall, avoid tight clothes, if you’re petite keep your outfits streamlined to avoid cutting your body in half (for example, wear a blouse over trousers, and this way your top half won’t be shortened). If you have a busty structure, an eye-catching skirt in a contrast with a simple top, will draw the eye from the top part. Also, a long jacket will draw the eye down, and as an element of Indian fashion design, a kurta can do wonders.
Accessories always make the difference
Even though you have a necklace with a lot of meaning to you, sometimes it just might not go well with what you’re wearing. A few tips great tips regarding accessories would be: round necklaces should be worn if you need to fill up your neckline, a long or v-necklace draws the eye down, scars reflect an arty look, matching jewelry binds an outfit together, and go well with a classy look, long earrings make the neck appear longer.
Make up can do a lot to complete an outfit and your overall look
Always use a make up that will complement the color of your outfit. Red lipstick is always a great choice for a classic look. Black make up is an excellent choice for a dramatic look. Also, if you have a red hair dye, red or pink make up can complete the look of a rock chick.
Pink lipstick with grey make up for smoky eyes makes a good combination. And the last aspect I want to add here is that you can easily give an extra sparkle to your eyes by adding contrasting eye shadow.
